Key Responsibilities

Hard Landscaping

• Install patios, paving, pathways and steps to a high standard

• Construct decking (layout and installation)

• Install fencing and structural timber work

• Build retaining and seating walls

• Create borders, gravel features and finishing details

• Carry out excavation, groundwork, levelling and grading

• Install drainage systems with consideration for long-term sustainability

• Work with natural stone, concrete, porcelain, timber, hardwood and composite materials

 

Soft Landscaping

• Carry out turfing and natural lawn installation

• Plant trees, shrubs, perennials and garden beds with a focus on biodiversity and ecological balance

• Prepare soil, including mulching and composting

• Support irrigation and natural moisture management

• Undertake seasonal planting and ongoing soft landscaping tasks

 

Site & General Responsibilities

• Read and interpret landscape plans and specifications

• Work independently or alongside the Team Leader to deliver projects efficiently

• Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail

• Keep job sites clean, organised and safe at all times

• Use and maintain tools, machinery and equipment safely

• Collaborate positively with team members

• Communicate professionally and respectfully with clients on site

 

About You

• Experienced landscaper with 3–5+ years’ experience in hard and soft landscaping

• Strong portfolio of completed landscape projects

• High level of craftsmanship and attention to detail

• Confident working independently and taking initiative

• Solid understanding of levels, setting out and construction methods

• Experience with landscaping tools and machinery

• A genuine interest in working with nature and sustainable landscaping practices

• Positive attitude and ability to contribute to a supportive team environment

• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

• Full UK driving licence preferred
